Bipartisan Policy Center
The outline for a national health reform proposal, developed by the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), including Senators Bob Dole, Tom Daschle and Howard Baker, lays out a coherent structure for meaningful health care reform. Recognizing current flaws in the nation’s health care system and the existing political stalemate in the federal reform debate, the BPC selected health care as its signature issue. Its goal: to develop a comprehensive, but achievable, set of policies to ensure that all Americans have quality, affordable health insurance, while constraining costs, promoting innovative delivery of care, and focusing treatments more on the patient, and not just the illness. Senator Bob Dole will present the BPC’s “four-pillared” health reform plan during the keynote presentation at the third annual Health Summit.
